The main criteria for playing in and performing with the UAEPO is regular rehearsal attendance, commitment and playing standard.

By joining the UAEPO you can become actively involved in creating the first philharmonic orchestra in the UAE.

The UAEPO currently has vacancies for the following instrument categories (these are not yet full-time salaried positions):

Please note that the UAEPO does currently not yet offer full-time salaried positions. If you are interested in a position within the UAEPO at a later stage please email your details to the UAEPO's Artistic Director.

Auditioning Requirements for the UAEPO

1. Orchestral excerpts: Mozart "Symphony No. 39:" 2nd mvt: mm. 1 - 27 (no repeats), 2nd mvt: mm. 96 - 126 ([C] to 4 before [E]), 4th mvt: mm. 1 - 78 (beginning to letter [B]), Brahms "Symphony No. 2:" 1st mvt: mm. 17-31; 52-66; 118-136, Mendelssohn "Symphony No. 4:" 1st mvt: beginning to 25 after [A] (mm. 1-110), Strauss "Don Juan:" First Page

2. Solo: Standard repertoire concerto, sonata, or etude demonstrating technical and lyrical abilities, no more than 10 minutes in length, without accompaniment.
